Christmas Home Tour 2017 – Part 1

Every year, if you come to our house around this time of year, it’s no secret that I love to decorate for Christmas. It is definitely my favorite holiday to decorate for – the bright, cheery lights, the sparkles, what’s not to love! 🙂

Each year, I change things up slightly based on what’s currently inspiring me. Last year, I went with whites and faux furs. This year, I wanted to add some green and natural elements to the mix. I have to say that when the Hearth and Hand with Magnolia line came to Target, it was right on point with what I was envisioning.

Our front door, is pretty simple this year with this wreath and a vintage sled that I tied some fresh greens and red berries to.

Over to our side entry, I added some birch logs with some white lights.

I added a basil wreath that I picked up from an antique shop a few years back to our side door and added vintage style bells that I bought from Target last Christmas.

Come on in through our side entryway…

and straight ahead is our eat-in kitchen area where 99% of our meals happen. Just to be clear, it never looks this neat which is why I barely get pictures of this area. There’s usually a highchair in a sea of toys strewn across the floor and table 😛

I kept the centerpiece to this table really simple with some fresh greens and red berries from outside.

Next to the table, I have this little fake tree. I love it’s sparse-ness. I added some white plaid ribbon, wood bead garland and this galvanized tree collar from the Hearth and Hand with Magnolia Target line.

I also included some white paper snowflakes from Target and crocheted snowflakes from Amazon.

Move on over to our family room where we spend most of our time.

I added touches of green through faux sprigs of greenery like in this galvanized bucket centerpiece on our coffee table.

I also added these faux velvet throw pillow covers from H&M onto our couch pillows for added green.

I love this little side table from HomeGoods. Actually, it’s not so little for a side table but somehow I managed to get it home in my Nissan Sentra a few years back.

I combined green ornaments from Hobby Lobby (yes, plastic ornaments because we need shatterproof with little guys running around) with sprigs of greenery and pinecones to this simple centerpiece on our side table.

I made this scroll sign and added greenery for a natural look.

Now, for our Christmas tree…

I kept it to a green and white theme with silver and touches of gold.

Hope you enjoyed part 1 of our Christmas home tour! Stay tuned for part 2 🙂
